3RD EUROPEAN FORUM ON MARKET-DRIVEN SUPPLY CHAINS.

EIASM, BRUSSELS, MARCH 7-8, 2006
CHAIRMAN

Professor Martin CHRISTOPHER
Professor of Marketing & Logistics
(Cranfield University - Cranfield School of Management, U.K.)

BACKGROUND

Now that the need for a higher level of agility and responsiveness across supply chains is increasingly accepted, the challenge of implementation becomes critical.

The theme of the 3rd Forum will be on understanding the drivers and prerequisites of responsiveness and the enablers and inhibitors of greater agility .

Papers at Forum will cover such issues as :
- Improving the visibility across the supply chain;
- Opportunities for time compression and increased velocity;
- Organisational agility;
- The means by which complexity can be managed and other topics.

The idea behind the Forum is to provide academics from a broad spectrum of backgrounds with an opportunity to share new ideas on the development of market-driven supply chains.
Previous participants have had a variety of backgrounds including operations management, logistics and supply chain management and marketing.
