PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

The seminar has two aims:

1.   To provide a forum for doctoral students in project management from Europe and around the world, where they can share experiences in studying project management, exchanging information on:

  • research and theoretical paradigms appropriate for project management
  • research methodologies appropriate for research in project management
  • literature on project management to inform their studies

2.   To explore with doctoral students new directions and new approaches for research in the field of project .management.

This year the theme of the annual EDEN Doctoral Seminar will be the relationship between project management and other management or engineering disciplines.  We will explore the relationship between project management and change management, innovation management, human resource management, entrepreneurship, operations management and systems engineering.

As in previous years doctoral students will be given an opportunity to share their own research topics.  The mentoring workshop on Thursday and Friday will be reserved for students from SKEMA who wish to defend their research proposal or practice their thesis defence.  All attendees can share their research ideas and receive feedback on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday.

At SKEMA Business School we have run a research seminar in project management in August every year since 2001, so this will be the 15th in a continuous series.
This will be the 8th time we have aligned this successful series with EIASM and the EDEN initiative.

As in previous years doctoral students will be given an opportunity to share their own research topics, and receive feedback on them.
