Due to globalization and higher international trade volumes there is an increasing trend in management research to conduct cross-cultural, cross-national and cross-disciplinary studies. Methods and methodology for comparative studies, however, require special knowledge and special skills.
After the course, the participants will be familiar with relevant methodological literature on cross-cultural methods. They will be able to use the literature as a guideline for their own methodological choices. The participants will understand the difficulties but also the opportunities of conducting cross-cultural research. The participants will receive knowledge, understanding and preparedness to independently develop skills in conducing empirical cross-cultural research.
The course provides knowledge in
Doctoral students and post-doctoral researchers who are conducting or are aiming to conduct comparative cross-national/cultural or international research.
Prerequisites: Earlier studies in marketing, management and international business preferable Five instruction days offered by internationally recognized Professors. Study material: a set of articles specified by the teacher. Credits and Grading: 6 ECTS, from 1 to 5
APPLICATIONS
PARTICIPATION FEE The normal participation fee for an EDEN seminar is 1.100€. As part of the collaboration between KATAJA and EIASM, the participation fee is waived for doctoral students or faculty members of universities of KATAJA
This fee covers participation to the seminar, the course materials, lunches as well as one group dinner. Cancellation Policy Cancellations made before April 13, 2019 will be reimbursed with 10% deduction of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after this date.
