Prof. Francesco Schiavone, University of Naples Parthenope is the Scientific Director of VIMASS – the Research Lab in Healthcare Management (vimass.uniparthenope.it) from University Parthenope. The Research Lab has the objective of promoting and implementing scientific research and training activities in international healthcare discipline. The research lab engages in research projects in the field of health management, such as management performance, ethical issues, sharing economy and blockchain in healthcare and many more. The Research Lab collaborates with several important pharmaceutical industries such as Bristol Meyers Squibb, Novartis, AstraZeneca among others. Among the different activities the VIMASS Lab aims at converting knowledge into publication of papers; publishing research outputs in special issues in the field of healthcare; collaborating in specific tracks in conferences (e.g., EURAM Conference). Full Professor of Innovation in Health & Social Care at the School of Management of the Politecnico di Milano. He is the Scientific Director of both the “Digital Health” and “Life Science Innovation” Observatories at the School of Management of Politecnico di Milano. He designed courses of innovative training at the MIP Graduate School of Business for both health professionals and companies such as Pharma, MedTech and BioTech. He is the Director of the Executive Master in Innovation Management in Healthcare at MIP-Graduate School of Management. He is the author of 100+ contributions on the topic of innovation in healthcare.
Dr. Yichuan Wang is an Associate Professor of Digital Marketing and Theme Lead of Digital Health and Medical Analytics at the University of Sheffield, UK. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Business & Information System from the Raymond J. Harbert College of Business, Auburn University (USA). His research interests focus on examining the role of digital technologies and systems (e.g., big data analytics, AI, and social media) in influencing healthcare practices
Dr. Francesca Patarnello – Astrazeneca Italia Dr. Francesca Patarnello is the VP Market Access & Government Affairs in AstraZeneca Italia. In this role she deals with HTA decisions, price and reimbursement of drugs, national and regional access of patients to drugs. She is also responsible for relations with institutions and patient associations and for communication external.
Dr. Giovanni Gorgoni – ARESS Puglia Giovanni Gorgoni is the CEO of AReSS Puglia, the regional government agency of Apulia Region for innovation in health and social care. Currently he is also chairman of EUREGHA (European Regional and Local Health Authorities, treasurer of EuroHealthNet (health promotion and health inequalities) and member of the executive board of EHTEL (eHealth and telemedicine), vice president of italian network NISAN (health clinical costing) and professor of Public Management at Bari LUM University
The seminar introduces the participants to the methods, techniques and theories commonly used in this research area. It also offers empirical insights and describes best practices from the healthcare industry. The seminar also offers possibilities for young researchers to get in contact with their peers, to explore new avenues of thinking, to learn collectively and to exchange ideas in a very active and stimulating way. The main objectives of the seminar are the following:
The present EDEN Blended seminar is a 5-day doctoral seminar. The emphasis is on interactive learning with peers about the practical aspects of setting up a research project in the domain of healthcare innovation and management.
The course is suitable for doctoral students in their second year and more advanced, post-docs & young researchers in the fields of management and/or medical studies; practitioners from the industry. Admittance: Maximum 25 students will be admitted to the seminar
APPLICATIONS
PARTICIPATION FEE EIASM SCHOLARSHIPS The Institute offers a limited number of scholarships of 550 € each. Scholarships are strictly limited to students coming from an EIASM Institutional Member (the Academic Council). Allocation of the scholarships is entirely at the discretion of the European Institute. Full attendance is required to obtain the certificate. Your learning diary should be divided into three sections: Learning before the course, Main learning points during the course, and After the course. Passing the course is subject to preparing thoroughly for the course, attending all sessions in an active participation mode, and delivering your learning diary on time. The assigned credit for this is 4 ECTS.
