PROGRAMME OBJECTIVES

This year the EDEN Doctoral Seminar at SKEMA Business School takes on a new mantle of sustainability to reflect a growing sense of urgency to respond to increasing global uncertainty and complexity in ways that encourage sustainable growth, innovation, and social development.

The seminar focus is on topics related to problems in global sustainability from ESG perspectives and how society can collectively mobilize itself to solve them. This year’s seminar will be held on our magnificent Grand Paris campus.

We have contributions from international researchers, project and programme professionals and international journal editors, to explore research opportunities towards finding viable solutions to the sustainability and climate challenges faced by businesses and society today. 

PROGRAMME TOPICS

The programme for this year’s EDEN Seminar will include:

  • The best value approach for sustainable supply chain management
  • Sustainability and infrastructure development
  • Entrepreneurship and sustainability
  • Project management competencies for a sustainable future
  • Sustainability and climate change
  • Paper development workshop on sustainability entrepreneurship and innovation

Cultural visit in Paris related to sustainability

 

FORMAT

The dates of the seminar are 4 days in June, 20-23 June, with one day being set aside for cultural activities.

Our intention is to stimulate our doctoral researchers to be among the changemakers of tomorrow through competent research of sustainable value.

There is no registration fee.

Interested doctoral students should register by sending the application files to

Please contact Helene Borelle for information on application. Besides doctoral students, other researchers may participate. The number of participants will be limited to create a stimulating environment. The selection among the applicants will be conducted by the Institute’s Faculty. They will review the following documents which should necessarily complement each application form:

  • the applicant’s curriculum vitae demonstrating his/her capabilities of doing research ;
  • a letter of recommendation of his/her local faculty supporting the application ;
  • a two-page description of his/her doctoral research, indicating the general objectives.
