Prof. Yvo DIRICKX
Hoge Heuvel College
K.U.Leuven
To provide beginning PhD- students in various fields of management (e.g., accounting, HRM, marketing, organisational behaviour, strategic management) a solid introduction to those areas of statistics that are important for creative field research while using the relevant statistical software.
The end terms are a good operational knowledge of regression analysis, panel data models, factor analysis, structural modelling and cluster analysis with an understanding the theoretical framework but without the mathematical developments.
The focus is on applicability but by avoiding the “black box” approach
Participants are expected to have a “standard” background in general statistics at an undergraduate level. After admission, but before the seminar starts, a reading list will be distributed to make sure participants have the right common background.
Full attendance and completion of the exercises are required to obtain the certificate
Will be available shortly
