Covid19 - Update

At EIASM, the necessary actions and precautions are being taken to ensure a safe environment for our activities, faculty and participants.

Consequently, we have decided to postpone the face-to-face MSAR 2021 to 2022 because of the coronavirus pandemic and instead offer a

virtual program this year.


The 2022 conference will of course take place in the very nice city of Pisa. (June 29-July 1, 2022)

 

WEBINAR PROGRAMME

The 2021 Virtual Event will be held on June 30th from 15:00 (CET) to 18:00 (CET).


The Webinar will be focused on

Lino CINQUINI  
Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa - Italy

Lino Cinquini is Professor of Management Accounting at the Institute of Management, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa (Italy). His research areas are Management Accounting, Cost management, Strategic Management Accounting and Performance measurement in private and public sector. He is Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Management and Governance and currently a member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Accounting and Organizational Change and Qualitative Research in Accounting and Management. He is also Research Board Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA: UK).

Andrea TENUCCI
Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa - Italy

Andrea Tenucci is Associate Professor of Management Accounting at the Institute of Management, Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies of Pisa (Italy). He got the Ph.D. in Business Economics at the University of Pisa in 2007. He has been visiting the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) and Aarhus School of Business (Denmark). His main fields of research are cost accounting and management in servitizing contexts, strategic management accounting, performance measurement and accounting history. He is furthermore doing research on the interface between management accounting and Integrated Reporting.

Tim BAINES
Professor, Chair in Operations Strategy, Aston Business School - UK

Professor Baines is a leading international authority on servitization and spends much of his time working hands-on with both global and local manufacturing companies to understand servitization in practice and help to transform businesses. At Aston Professor Baines holds responsibility for leading the Aston Centre for Servitization Research and Practice. This is a global activity pioneering research, community development, and education on servitization. He is also the Head of the Operations and Information Management Group, and member of the Business School Executive. Prior to joining Aston he led the Manufacturing Systems Centre at Cranfield; the Product-Service Systems (PSS) theme of the EPSRC sponsored IMRC (Innovative Manufacturing Research Centre); and was a co-creator and Technical Director of the Boeing Centre in IVHM (technology systems for asset management).

Al BHIMANI  
Professor of Management Accounting, London School of Economics and Political Science - UK

Professor Alnoor Bhimani is a Professor of Management Accounting, and the Founding Director of ‘LSE Entrepreneurship’ at the London School of Economics (LSE). He holds an Undergraduate degree from King’s College London UK, an MBA from Cornell University USA. He has also obtained a PhD from London School of Economics UK. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant from Canada. His academic work and research interests include management accounting in the digital economy, international comparative financial management, strategic finance, the socio-cultural analysis of accounting systems and aspects of globalisation, governance and financial management, entrepreneurship and economic growth. He has authored over 100 publications including bestselling books in financial management, technology and digitisation.

Christopher D. ITTNER 
EY Professor of Accounting, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania - USA

Professor Ittner received his BS from California State University, Long Beach, his MBA from UCLA, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Harvard University. Professor Ittner’s research focuses on the design, implementation, and performance consequences of performance measurement, cost management, and enterprise risk management systems. His articles have been published in the Harvard Business Review and leading academic accounting, marketing, and operations management journals. He is an editor of The Accounting Review, and has served as senior editor at Production and Operations Management and associate editor for Accounting, Organizations and Society, Management Science, and several other academic journals. His work on the association between customer satisfaction measures and financial performance received the American Accounting Association’s Notable Contribution to Management Accounting Literature Award.

Jan MOURITSEN 
Professor of Management Control, Copenhagen Business School - Denmark

Jan Mouritsen’s research is oriented towards understanding the role of Management Technologies and Management Control in various organisational and social contexts. He focuses on empirical research and attempts to develop new ways of understanding the role and effects of controls and financial information in organisations and society. He is interested in translations and interpretations made of (numerical) representations (e.g. as in budgets, financial reports, non-financial indicators and profitability analysis) throughout the contexts they help to illuminate. His interests include Intellectual Capital and Knowledge Management, Technology Management, Operations Management, New Accounting and Management Control. Jan Mouritsen is currently editorial board member of a series of academic journals in the various areas of management and business research including accounting, operations management, IT and knowledge management.

FEES

The participation fee to the virtual meeting is 40 EUR (+VAT).

The participants to the 2021 Virtual meeting will benefit a special reduced fee for the MSAR 2022 (PISA) Conference. 

   
Normal price 48,40 € (including 8,40 € VAT)

Cancellations made before June 15, 2021 will be reimbursed minus 20% of the total fee. No reimbursement will be possible after that date.
