INTERNATIONAL CHAIRPERSONS: Professor Ingrid FULMER - Rutgers University, U.S.A.
We created this workshop over thirty years ago to exchange qualitative, quantitative, and theoretical research in all areas of strategic human resource management. Since the early days these have grown tremendously to include nearly all areas of organisation life including most recently: employee engagement, the digital transformation of the HRM function, issues of employee data privacy, and the ethical issues underlying the development of AI and machine learning to manage recruitment, selection, performance monitoring, compensation, learning, and engagement. A special feature of the workshop is an invitation extended to a high-level HRM executive who shares the concerns of the corporate world with our participants. This helps create a rich exchange that helps make our research interesting and useful to HRM professionals. Our workshop accepts papers in all stages of development (dissertation proposals, research in progress, and completed research) and we occasionally collect the best of these for a special issue in a reputable journal.
We are inviting papers that explore Strategic HRM issues from both theoretical and practical perspectives. Possible sub-topics include:
