HISTORY

Almost twenty years ago (in 2002) EIASM started to organize a series of conferences on public sector management. One of the solid elements of it became a program for PhD students where they could discuss their research proposal. In order to make participation in the main programme possible, the PhD programme used to be organized in the morning before the main program started. As a result of COVID-19, the EIASM Public Sector Conference 2020 had to be postponed to 2021, but fortunately the Emerging Scholars Programme could be continued online. In 2021, the Emerging Scholars Programme will be organized on a separate date, two weeks before the main conference will be held.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Emerging scholars are invited to submit a research proposal (including a literature review, research questions and research design). This research proposal may be either the proposal for the full PhD trajectory or one that focuses on a part of it. As such, also the opportunity is provided to discuss ideas about (succeeding) phases of the PhD. Accepted proposals will be presented to an online audience of senior colleagues and peers. Participants are asked to be a discussant of another proposal.

Submissions are welcome until 30 June 2021 via EIASM’s online submission system.
