SPEECH

SpeechA Primer on Responsible Science for the 21C

Key words: Responsible Science; Credible Research; Useful Research; Independent Research

Description: In November 2017 a position paper was launched by the community for Responsible Research in Business and Management (CRRBM: https://www.rrbm.network/) – a consortium of 28 founding members comprising globally-eminent scholars spanning the core Business School disciplines, together with 5 institutional supporters (eg AACSB & EFMD). The cRRBM vision for 2030 is “… of a future in which business schools and scholars worldwide have successfully transformed their research toward responsible science, producing useful and credible knowledge that addresses problems important to business and society.” The goal of this workshop is to provide a simple primer on what is meant by responsible science, the complex challenges facing cRRBM in achieving their 2030 vision and how Business Schools might help in a call to action.
