OBJECTIVES
To create a forum for academic exchange of empirical qualitative or quantitative research in the area of strategic human resource management . Research in all stages (dissertation proposals, research in progress, and completed research) is welcomed.
BACKGROUND
The first workshop on Strategic Human Resource Management took place in 1985. Since then, Research and Education in HRM has developed a lot.
The 25th Anniversary Workshop will deal with the State of the Art and the strengths and weaknesses of current Research and Education in Strategic Human Resource Management.
A specific focus of this Workshop will deal with Strategic HRM in current time of global economic & financial crisis.

We invite academics who have written an excellent doctoral thesis in the area of Strategic HRM or Corporate Governance during the last two years to participate in the international competition for the
- Best PhD Thesis in Strategic HRM or the
- Best PhD Thesis in Corporate Governance and HR Governance
The Price Winners will be invited to participate at the 25th Anniversary Workshop on SHRM , April 19-20, 2010 or to the 7th Workshop on Corporate Governance, June 21-22, 2010.
Candidates are invited to send their PhD thesis to Professor Martin Hilb (martin.hilb@unisg.ch) with a copy to Graziella Michelante (michelante@eiasm.be) by February 28th, 2010.
ISMO : SPECIAL EDITION
We are happy to announce that the ISMO (International Studies of Management & Organization)
will publish a special edition including the best papers presented at the research workshop selected by the chairpersons.
This is located at 20km from the Barcelona city center.
The duration of the trip is 23 minutes by train/metro.
